Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
Photographers, artists, poets: show us WITHOUT.

I LOVE my computer. It has became an essential part of my life and I can’t imagine being without it. So, what does it do for me?
When I travel, I use my computer to keep in touch with family and friends.
When family and friends are away, it keeps me in touch too. I can see them using Skype where absence is permanent.
It gives me access to the whole world.
It stores all my 14,000 photographs taken in the last two years.
There’s no section of life that’s can’t be accessed by such a device for knowledge and information.
It gives me a community of like minded people I can link with.
Having added some of the benefits that I get from my computer, it does not replace my REALITY.
I still get out and have a life. I go for walks, catch up with friends for coffee (keeping the phone in my handbag), participate in hobbies, go to real shops and generally go about my life as normal.
We can become obsessed with electronics and forget to lead a real life or stick our heads in the sand and not move on with the times.
The solution, I think is a matter of choice and balance. What do you think?

Balance is indeed key. I always make sure when I travel I make it my no internet time. Sometimes it’s good to completely disconnect from the virtual world.

I hear what you’re saying loud and clear. But, I have to admit, that when I travel, I love sharing what I’m experiencing with family and friends. It’s like I want them to be there with me seeing what I’m seeing. Does that make sense?
